Alana + Shannon's Wedding {Hyatt Hill Country Resort Wedding Ceremony & Wedding Reception, San Antonio TX} • Bend The Light

Five fun facts about Alana + Shannon (number three is my favorite!):

1.) They were both born and raised in Canada (where they met and began dating SEVENTEEN years ago!)

2.) After dating briefly back in 2001/2002, they went their separate ways. For the next DECADE, Alana traveled the world and completed her Master’s Degree. Shannon moved to the states for work (yay Texas!)

3.) (This is my favorite part!) While Shannon was visiting his brother back in Canada, he randomly ran into Alana’s sister. So, of course, Alana’s sister did what all little sisters would do… she made Alana sound INCREDIBLE. During that conversation, Shannon admitted that Alana was “the one that got away” (aww!) Her response? “You’re not married. She’s not married. Here’s her number… I think you should do something about it!” (Yasssss!)

4.) They spent the next several years dating long distance before Alana joined Shannon in Houston about 3 years ago. These days, Alana is a teacher specializing in Early Childhood Special Education (her passion for her job is inspiring… I could go on and on about this!) and Shannon is an Engineer that works in Oil and Gas.

5.) They are now MARRIED… keep scrolling for proof! (The last several photos = some of my favorite reception photos of all time. Keep an eye out for a flying… yes, FLYING… bride!)

The moment Shannon saw Alana as a bride for the first time. Have I ever mentioned how much we love first looks? Because we LOVE first looks!
