heather + jordan {san antonio wedding and event consultants wedding}

These photos hold a special place in our hearts because of the… shall we say… crazy circumstances that surrounded Heather and Jordan’s wedding day. :-) More specifically, the crazy WEATHER that surrounded their wedding day. I haven’t actually checked the record books, but I’m guessing that San Antonio got a record-setting amount on rain on Heather & Jordan’s wedding weekend. As I watched the news on Friday night (gearing up for Heather & Jordan’s all-outdoor wedding the next day), my heart stopped as the weather man said “There will be rain all weekend… But the MAIN event will happen Saturday afternoon. 100% chance of rain all day tomorrow.” Oy.

As I drove to the wedding (with the windshield wipers on the fastest speed), wondered how Heather was doing… being that it was pouring on her wedding day and all. When we arrived at Heather’s parent’s house (where the wedding was held), Teresa Bryson (with San Antonio Wedding and Event Consultants) was outside, working her usual wedding magic. The amount of work she had done in just a few short hours was amazing. She had literally transformed a muddy field into a gorgeous (covered!) ceremony/reception site overnight. (Read Teresa’s account of what happened and see lots of “before photos” here). Mind = blown.

Even better, a small miracle happened. The rain stopped. And didn’t come back until the reception was over. Whaaaat? Our little photographer hearts were (and still are) so happy. The wedding was beautiful and (if I don’t say so myself) the photos are pretty gosh-darn beautiful too. :-) Here are our favorites from their big day. Enjoy!
Let’s play a little game… Kind of like “Where’s Waldo”, but it’s “Where’s the Photographer?” Extra points if you spot me in less than 3 seconds. :-)

Groomsmen in grey suits, grey socks and grey Chuck Taylors? Yes!

Lets not forget those groomsman ties in different shades of green. Love it!
I love that Heather chose different shades of green & blue for her bridesmaid dresses. Such a fun way to add color to the photos. We are kind of obsessed with color, if you haven’t noticed. ;-) Read our tips about how to add color to your wedding here.

Heather, you are gorgeous!!
My FAVORITE photos of the day are Heather & Jordan’s portraits together. After LOTS of rain and nothing but clouds for days, the sun decided to make an appearance at just the right time. :-) Annnd Heather & Jordan were total troopers… willing to walk through a wet/muddy field to get amazing photos. :-) One of our tips for getting the best possible wedding photos is this: Don’t stress the dress! (To see all of our tips, click here) Heather & Jordan are the perfect example of how this tip can pay off… The bottom of Heather’s dress was a little dirty when all was said and done, but because she was so easy going and didn’t sweat the small stuff, they now have tons of amazing bride/groom photos. Heather & Jordan, you guys rock!! :-D

Ta-da!! The product of all of Teresa’s hard work. :-) There she is talking to Heather (still workin’ hard to make sure things ran smoothly!)
LOVE these two shots (above and below) of the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances!! So sweet. :-)

Heather and Jordan, thank you so much for allowing us to capture your big day!! We had a blast with you guys!! :-D
