I love exploring new places, discovering magical light and beautiful backgrounds. I met up with Corlee and Clay at The Venue at Rafter E, brand new wedding venue in Fredericksburg, TX. The owners, Brian and Mary Eckert, gave us a full tour of the property and even drove us across the creek to find the perfect creekside location. I can’t wait for their wedding… their venue is GORGEOUS!!
Coulee and Clay’s “how they met” story is so sweet. It seems that Clay knew right away that Corlee was special.
How they met, according to Corlee: The first time Clay and I meet, we spoke maybe 3 words to each other! A couple months pass and he invites Jacob (who was HIS fraternity brother/next door neighbor in Lubbock and MY good friend growing up/my roommate, Sydney’s boyfriend…Did you follow all of that?) up to his lake house on Lake Travis for the fourth of July. Since Jacob, Sydney, and I were all staying at the river in New Braunfels we ended up going. That day was so much fun! A few weeks pass, we have both started school (Clay at Tech and me at Texas A&M). The next thing I know Clay buys me a plane ticket to Lubbock for the weekend! That weekend basically tied the knot… We have been together ever since. Clay and I mastered dating long distance for 4 years when we were in college. Since we started out long distance, that was all we knew.. so I think it helped out tremendously!
How sweet is that? These two were so much fun to photograph. Clay had Corlee laughing the whole evening. I can’t wait to meet their friends and families this November.
