If you’re a long-time reader of our blog, you know that we love color. A while back, we dedicated an entire blog post to all the ways you can make your wedding photos pop with color (click here to read it!). Stephanie & Stephen loooove color… which makes them our kinda people. We shot their engagement session in downtown San Antonio, where there’s an endless supply of colorful walls. And then came their wedding… ahhhh!! Colorful shoes, colorful dresses, colorful details… get ready for a full blown color overdose. :-)
The two shots above are of Stephanie writing her wedding vows. Love these!
Stephanie & Stephen had a sunset ceremony, so it was dark by the time the ceremony was over. Because they wanted lots of natural light photos, they saw each other beforehand. The shots above are from their “first look” (a special moment between the bride and groom before the ceremony). We love first looks! They help calm your nerves and allow lots of time for photos. Check out Stephanie’s necklace… her mom made it, how cool is that? She started with 2 necklaces (one from each of Stephanie’s grandmothers) and combined them to make one gorgeous piece of bling. :-)

The shot below: Jenn’s view of the same moment. :-)
Gotta love those bright red wedding shoes!!
“And the award for best, most creative bridesmaids dresses goes to…..”
Stephanie & Stephen’s entire wedding was Mexican-themed. The Mexican briesmaids dresses were custom made. Aren’t they fun?!
Talk about lots of color!! Love love love!!
Ceremony time! I love this shot of Stephanie & her dad, just before walking down the aisle. Stephanie, you are beeeauty-ful. :-)Top right: Kaylinn’s view
Bottom right: Jenn’s view of the same moment
This shot gives me goose bumps! Stephanie & her dad right before he gave her away.
By the way, Stephanie & Stephen’s wedding and reception were held at the Southwest School of Art and Craft in downtown San Antonio. Suuuuch a gorgeous venue.
Reception time! The chapel/reception area at the Southwest School of Art is beautiful all by itself… but add professional lighting and BAM! It’s like whoa. Another amazing lighting job done by Illuminating Celebrations. These guys blow our minds everytime. Professional lighting at your reception adds SO much to your decor and your wedding photos… we highly recommend it. For more info about professional wedding lighting, click here.
Ring shot on the DJ’s turn table? YESSSSS PLEASE!
Stephanie & Stephen, congratulations! Thank you for allowing us to share in your special day. :-)
