Texas in the summer equals hot. Really really hot. For the most part, Romeo (my 4 year old Yorkie) doesn’t seem to mind the heat, I, on the other hand, do. He loves to be outside, playing fetch and barking at the birds. He comes into the office and stares up at me hoping that I will take him outside to play. I say no and he slowly wanders off to find a cozy place for a nap. An hour or so later, he is back, this time with a whine. I may take him out for a few minutes, but quickly we are back in the AC. This makes him sad. Here is a photo I took one afternoon after being stuck in the house all day. Disclaimer: I do not deprive my dogs of exercise, we go for a walk every evening AFTER the sun sets!
