jessica & will’s flushmount album!

Every year, we order new sample flushmount albums. Annnd they just came in! We had lots of fun choosing the leathers for each cover (with over 40 leather choices, it took a while!)… Since we were working on 2 albums, we eventually decided on 1 classic leather combo and 1 bright/fun leather combo. Here’s the first one… (the classic one). The main leather is called “Biker Chic” and the accent leather is “Femme Noir.” Photos of the second album (the bright/fun one) are coming soon!

IN with the new albums, OUT with the old albums… Below is one of the albums that we’ve had for several years. It’s lived in 100-degree heat (in my trunk) and has been hauled around to countless client meetings… but it still looks as good as the day it arrived. Proof these babies are built to last generations. :-)  The main leather on this album is called “femme noir” and the accent leather is called “Miami ink.”

rachel + travis {canyon lake cabins & cottages wedding and reception}

Ohmagoodness…I am sooo excited to post this wedding! Dare I say it was one of my favorite weddings of all time?! (Oh yea, I just said it!) I loved the couple, the colors, the details… every. single. thing. Confession: When I get married, I want my wedding to be just like Travis & Rachel’s wedding. Laid back, casual, intimate, DIY… (it’s safe to say I have major wedding envy!)

OK, enough about me… lets talk about Rachel & Travis. :-) If you remember their modern/colorful engagement session, you know that they’re full of creative ideas and loooove color. So yea, we heart these two. :-) Instead of having a one-day wedding celebration, they opted for a full-blown wedding weekend. They rented out every cottage at Canyon Lake Cabins & Cottages, brought all of their friends/family along and had a three-day wedding blast. Every single detail was DIY (we were one of only two wedding vendors!) – so each and every detail was personalized and special (more on that later!) Here are our favorite photos from their big day weekend! Enjoy. :-)

LOVE these vintage red shoes that Rachel found on Etsy.com!
Rachel & Travis wanted to head straight to their reception after the ceremony (instead of spending lots of time taking photos!), so they decided to see each other before the ceremony. This way, we were able to take plenty of bride/groom and wedding party photos AND they didn’t miss one minute of their reception. Win/win! For more info about doing a first look at your wedding, visit this link.
Rachel & Travis both had guys and girls in their individual wedding parties. I love that they chose the seven people that were most important to each of them, regardless whether they were male or female. :-)
Red bridesmaids dresses and colorful bouquets? Yes, please!! Choosing colorful flowers/dresses adds so much to your photos! For creative suggestions and ideas about how to add color to your wedding day, click here.
And the award for the bridal party with the MOST personality goes to….. :-)
Our associate photographer, Sada, came along with us and snapped this shot of the groomsmen (and groomsWOMEN!) Gotta love a group that knows how to work the camera. :-)
Because Rachel & Travis saw each other before the ceremony, we had time to run around and find this gorgeous light in a field across the street (instead of staying nearby because of time constraints). This lighting makes my photographer heart happy. :-)
The first of MANY do-it-yourself details that Rachel put together. This Mr. & Mrs. sign is adorable!
Rachel & Travis love bike riding. So much so that they received this red tandem bike as a wedding present (complete with their names & wedding date on it!) Best photo prop ever!
Rachel, you are gorgeous.

Yay for a colorful bridal bouquet!

Mister, Misses, and their adorable dog, Cooper. :-)
Ceremony time!
Mr. & Mrs. Travis Dubose!!
As I mentioned, every D.I.Y. detail was personalized and fun. Get ready for detail overload!!
One of my all-time favorite bridal bouquet photos, taken by the lovely Sada. :-)
