After Nick + Ann’s engagement session on their family farm, we knew that their wedding would be one for the books. The way these two look at each other is pretty much a photographers dream. And their style. Oooohhh, how we loved their wedding style. Nick’s suit was one of our all-time favorites, Ann’s bridesmaid dresses were ALSO some of our all time favorites, and don’t even get me started on Ann’s dress. Seriously, you guys… Every detail was perfectly perfect. Even the butterflies agreed! Keep an eye out for butterflies landing on the bridesmaid’s bouquets. ;)
Ann + Nick’s wedding ceremony was held at the Annunciation Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, TX. This little church has a special place in our hearts… we shot one of our very first weddings there back in 2008 (awww, memories!) The church itself has history dating back to 1855 when Polish immigrants built the church after coming to Texas. There is something so special about beginning your marriage in a place that has lasted for over 150 years. Even the drive out to the church is beautiful… Winding roads, open air, and farmers fields for as far as the eye can see.
We’ve been San Antonio wedding photographers for 10 years, so it’s rare that we get to go to a venue that we’ve never shot before… but this wedding reception venue was a new one for us… the Western Sky at Tejas in Bulverde, TX (another little Texas town that we happen to love!) We LOVED Western Sky and can’t wait to go back. It’s a rustic, hill country venue that oozes Texas charm. It’s the type of place with rocking chairs on the porch, surrounded by open Texas land for miles. (yes, pleeeease!)
We had so much fun capturing these moments and are so excited to share our favorite images from Nick + Ann’s wedding with you guys today. Enjoy! :)
