I am totally in love with this session! It was so much fun to shoot. Lyla and Stephen were referred to us by one of my all time favorite bride’s Lauren and her husband John. Lauren is a loyal blog reader, Facebook-er and all around wonderful cyber-friend : ) We were so excited to meet Lyla and Stephen knowing that they are friends with Lauren and John.
During our initial meeting, we spent 3 hours talking at Starbucks about weddings, marriage and life. It felt as though we were old friends. They booked us, I was stoked and then…Lyla tells us that they are borrowing a vintage bike for their e-session!! Seriously!! I was so excited. Could they be ANY more awesome?! We did a little more planning, added the fedora hat for Stephen and the picnic blanket and basket. If you have a session coming up, take a little time to brainstorm, think outside the box. We are always up for new things. They add a little spark of creativity. Guitars, books, hats, your favorite candy, a bouquet, bubble gum, balloons, an old chair from your grandma’s house. Bring it along!!

Lyla and Stephen love yoga, so they brought along a mat. I think these are so fun!
After the park, we made a couple more stops. This abandoned building is blocks from my house. Every time I pass it, I imagine shooting there. Thanks Lyla and Stephen for indulging me : )
