Katy + Dave {Hoffman Haus Wedding Reception, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Wedding Ceremony, Fredericksburg, TX}

Katy and Dave are laid back, fun and just plain cool (our kind of people). We first met up with these two last summer when we shot their oh-so-colorful engagement session, and we are super duper crazy excited to share their wedding images today. Their wedding had all of the usual stuff (the gorgeous bride crazy about her handsome groom, a wedding party we would love to hang with, an adorable ring bearer) but it had some not-so-usual elements too (a drive through the Texas wild flowers, lots of board games, a fully-stocked s’mores bar… yes!) Our couples are always full of out-of-the-box ideas, which is why we love them so gosh-darn much. :-) Here are our favorite images from Katy & Dave’s big day. Enjoy! :-)

An old Texas wedding tradition: All of the bridesmaids write their names and message on the bottom of the bride’s heel (or in Katy’s case, her boots! Oh how I love Texas!) The name that is last to rub off of the shoe will be the next to get married. :-)

Brides, if you are on the hunt for a florist, coordinator or event designer, Viridian Design should be on your short list! You’ll thank us later, we promise. ;-)

The wedding reception was held at the Hoffman Haus Bed and Breakfast in Fredericksburg, TX. LOVED this venue!
A board game wedding reception! I’m kind of obsessed with this idea. :-) Each table was assigned a board game… so guests sat at the “Monopoly Table” or the “Game of Life” table. Fun, right? The guests thought so too. :-)
Board game reception = not so “boaring” ring shots. haha Get it? ;-) Love these.
