jennifer + ryan {southwest school of art wedding ceremony & reception, san antonio tx}

It’s no secret, we have the most amazing clients in the world. Sometimes I can’t believe that it’s our JOB to tell love stories through photographs. Best job ever, btw. :-) Every couple that we shoot has a unique story and there’s always something about each couple that we will never forget.

With Jennifer and Ryan, we will never forget how personal and intimate their wedding day was. Each wedding detail was custom designed by Jennifer and Ryan themselves (They are both amazingly talented artists…if you want to be inspired, visit each of their webpages here and here). The details were beautiful and personalized (as you’ll see soon!), and their ceremony was one of the sweetest we’ve ever been to (and we’ve been to a LOT of weddings!) We are especially proud of these images and are so excited to share them with you. Enjoy :-)

PS – If you missed Jennifer & Ryan’s fun/quirky engagement session, check it out here. It was one of our favorite sessions to date!

Getting married in shoes that say “Home Sweet Home…” I can’t think of anything more perfect. :-)

Jennifer, you are bee-yoo-tee-ful. That’s all. :-)

It was important to Jennifer & Ryan to spend as much time with their guests as possible… they wanted to enjoy their cocktail hour rather than spend that time taking photos. They decided to see each other before the ceremony so that we could take all of their portraits beforehand. We luuuurve first looks! Such a sweet, intimate moment! Check out these shots (above) of the moment Ryan saw Jennifer for the first time. *So sweet!* For more info about why we suggest doing a first look at your wedding, click here. Oh, and since we had more time to take photos, get ready for LOTS of amazing shots!
I love everything about these shots. Best groom attire ever. Like, ever ever ever. :-) Ryan’s khakis, blue shirt and orange bow tie (not to mention Jennifer’s orange bouquet!) added just the right amount of color to their wedding photos. For more info about how you can add color to your wedding, click here. :-)

And bam! Bridesmaid’s dresses in all different shades of blue. Told you Jennifer had incredible taste (and obviously, really pretty friends!) :-)

Not to be outdone by the bridesmaids gorgeous blue dresses, the groomsmen brought their own sense of style to the table. :-) Khakis, blue shirts and multicolored bow ties, oh my! And are you kidding me with those suspenders?

Which groomsmen bow tie is your favorite? And how can you really choose?

This shot of Jenn (left) and Sada (right) makes me smile. They are photography twins, I tell you. :-)

Jennifer & Ryan’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at the gorgeous Southwest School of Art here in San Antonio, Texas. One of our all-time favorite venues, by the way. Oh, and our favorite moment of the day (above and below)… Ryan and Jennifer walked down the aisle together (to the altar), hand-in-hand. When you think about it, isn’t that the way it really should be? :-)

LOVED the multi-colored wedding place settings at the reception. I want to steal this idea, don’t you?! :-)

As I mentioned before, Jennifer & Ryan are incredible artists. They hand-crafted a ceramic piece for each and every one of their guests, as a way to thank them for coming. So fun (and AWESOME).

Introducing the new Mister and Misses!

Jennifer & Ryan, thank you for allowing us to capture your wedding day. We wish you guys 101 years of happiness!! :-)
