happy 30th birthday, jenn!!!

As all of you know, Jenn and I are not only business partners… we’re best friends. We don’t post much about the ‘best friends’ thing because we’re usually busy posting about the business/photography stuff… But today is special. Today my best friend happens to be turning 30. So this post is for her… :-)

 this whole “turning 30” thing is kind of a big deal… I can’t help but get sentimental about how blessed I’ve been to have you in my life since waaay before we were this old. :-)

I originally planned to post just a handful of photos of us through the years and wish you a happy 30th. But as I flipped through my albums, looking at the HUNDREDS of photos of you and I (at all different ages/stages of our lives), it occurred to me…. You have been one of the few ‘constants’ in my life since the beginning. I’ve always known that, but seeing so many photos of us scattered across my living room floor really put that into perspective. Friends were there and then gone a few years later. Boyfriends were there and then gone a few years later. But in every album… every. single. album… there you were. 30 years worth of photos, you were consistently there.

Posting just a handful of those photos doesn’t seem to cut it… So I decided to post lots of my favorite moments of us through the years.  :-) At one time or another, we were roommates, classmates, band mates, travel mates, youth leaders, business partners, and best friends. We’ve visited 18 countries together. We’ve been to 6 John Mayer concerts. We’ve danced on tables, competed to be Valedictorian (you won), had some BAD hair styles, fought cancer, bought a house… the list goes on. There’s no other person on the planet I would have rather shared these experiences with. You’ve been an amazing friend, even when I made it difficult to be. I admire the person you’ve become, and I’m so excited to see what the next 30 years (and beyond) will hold. Happy birthday.

PS – I apologize in advance for posting some of these terrrrible photos! I made the ones where we looked the worst as small as possible. Ha! You gotta love your bleached hair, my big bangs, and some of our terrible outfits through the years. ;-)
