Happy Easter everybody!! I spent today like I spend most Sundays – with the fam. :) I brought my camera along and took a few shots of our Easter afternoon. I blog so rarely about the people that mean the most to me, so I’d like to introduce you to my family. :) We’re a laid back, no frills sorta group (and that’s just the way we like it). Meet the Standlees…. :)

Meet the kids. :) Annie (in the light pink dress) is the only actual family member in these shots… but Annie’s friends, Gabrielle and Ian, joined us for Easter lunch. After church, the kids were eager to hunt all of the eggs that the Easter Bunny brought… but before we let them change into their play clothes and go egg crazy, we dragged them outside for a few “church clothes” photos. They clean up nicely, don’t ya think?
Easter egg hunting time!! Annie insisted on hunting in her fancy heels. I don’t blame her. She looks amazing. :)
The Easter Bunny brought more that just eggs to my parent’s house. :) Bubbles, candy necklaces, the works…

LUNCH TIME! We’re a casual bunch… no fancy-schmancy Easter lunch for us. Chili dogs, chips and homemade Easter cake will do just fine. :)

You may find this hard to believe, but my family doesn’t like to be photographed. That’s probably why you are just now meeting my parents, Larry & Patricia. They get all weird and awkward when I put my camera in their face… like “What am I supposed to do? What do you mean ‘act natural’? I’m not a model, you know… I feel silly. OK, are you done?”
My adorable grandparents, Wynona & Howard. Aren’t they the cutest? My grandma doesn’t like to smile for photos, but I told her I wouldn’t stop taking photos until she laughed for me. It worked. :) Grandma, now you have an adorable photo of yourself. You’re welcome. :-)
After lunch, everyone went out to my parent’s porch to hang out. I love this photo… it’s just so “us.” Complete with our dogs, my parent’s porch swing, and kids playing in the background. :) This is what you’ll find us doing pretty much every Sunday afternoon.

My dad will kill me for posting this. But seriously… he can fall asleep anywhere. After such a busy afternoon, I guess he just needed a good nap. Outside. :-) ha
