You may remember Ann from her wedding last month. She wanted to do a bridal session, but because they live in Louisiana, the timing just did not work out before the big day. It was so great to do a session after the wedding. We were all more relaxed and could just have fun. I met up with Ann, her mom and her adorable dog, Annabell at Market Square downtown. I love shooting there. It is so colorful. Here are my favorites from the session.

You may remember Sarah & Chad from their engagement session downtown a few months ago. One of our favorite sessions to date – they came up with such cute ideas for their session! Ever since then, we’ve been looking forward to their wedding. They were married under a huge oak tree at the beautiful Inn at Salado in Salado, Texas… doesn’t get much better than that. Here are our favorites from the day. Enjoy! :)

Chad & Sarah saw each other before the ceremony so that there would be plenty of time for photos. Such a sweet moment! Chad’s reaction was priceless. I love first looks. :-) They make my heart happy.

melissa & austin’s day after session!

So a few days ago, we posted Melissa & Austin’s amazing wedding photos… now it’s time for their amaaazing day after session (or in their case, days BEFORE session). “What is a day after session?” you ask… well, it’s a wedding photography session that doesn’t happen on your actual wedding day. It can happen before or after your wedding (even though it’s called a “day after session,” it rarely happens the actual DAY after your wedding). It’s a fun session where you dress up in your wedding attire and run around to make some amazing images without the stress of your actual wedding day (there are no time constraints, location limitations, onlookers, etc.) We love love LOOOOOVE day after sessions. They allow so much freedom for creativity and just plain fun! :D

Melissa & Austin were married at the beautiful Bushnell here in San Antonio. It’s a gorgeous venue that gave Melissa & Austin lots of gorgeous photos. As beautiful as it is, there is nothing “urban” about it… and Melissa & Austin wanted “urban” wedding photos. Day after session to the rescue! Now they have the best of both worlds. Win/win! Here are our faves from their session. Enjoy. :)

Melissa & Austin got married last Saturday on the rooftop of the Bushnell here in San Antonio. I love these two. They are the sweetest, most genuine couple you could ever meet. I’m so excited about these photos! There is just something so fun and fresh about them. Here are our favorites from the day. Enjoy :)

I’m not really one to use the word “fabulous.” But if ever there was a time to use that word, it would be to describe Melissa’s dress. FAAAAABULOUS!! (There, I said it) :-)

Melissa & Austin saw each other before the ceremony, which meant more time for bride/groom and bridal party photos!! YAY!

Melissa & Austin, you two should be on a magazine cover. You’ve both got the “blue steel” look down. :-)

Check out Austin’s awesome boutonniere. Yup, it’s 100% cotton. The number one export from his hometown of Lubbock, Texas. So flippin creative. ;-) Oh, and there’s that “blue steel” face again. Love it!

Spending an afternoon with Melissa & Austin’s ridiculously good looking bridal party – GREAT for photos. Not so great for your self-esteem. Ha! :-)

I heart these bridesmaids dresses. The style. The colors. Everything. Melissa, when I get married there is a 99% chance I might steal your wedding colors. ;-)

We’re often asked if we take “traditional” photos of the bride/groom and families. Why yes, we do. :-) Since we are smack between Mother’s & Father’s Day, I thought it appropriate to post a few mom/dad shots. :-)
