I met up with Ken and Andrea at my new favorite colorful, urbanish (yes, I made up a word, deal with it!) location – El Mercado. I love how colorful our city is. We got up suuuuuper early for the session, but it was totally worth it. Having the whole market to ourselves was awesome. Fun random tidbit, Ken went to high school with Turner of Kira and Turner. It really is such a small world. Here are my favorites from their session.

Andrea said she grew up loving Mexican sweet bread and wanted to incorporate it into the session. I love the colors in these. I am in love with this doorway. We only got a few frames in before some employees of the shop came and opened up the red gate. Andrea’s bouquet is the perfect addition to this shot. : )

I met up with Moneeza and Sarfraz at The Westin La Cantera. I love shooting at new locations and it is such a beautiful place. When you are there, we cannot tell that you are still in the city. We wandered around there for awhile and then headed over to The Shops at La Cantera for a more modern/casual feeling. Here are my favorites from their session.

I adore these two!! A-D-O-R-E! They are seriously the most genuine, kind, fun and so obviously in love couple I think I have ever met. I left the session with a smile on my face and I could not wait to go through the images. We met up at Trinity University, where they both went to school. Elena said that they had to have some of that famous “red brick” in their pictures. Another random tidbit, they are a referral from the wonderful Lyla and Stephen. I love our clients. Here are my many, many favorites. Get ready for Elena and Alex cuteness overload :)

See what I mean?! This shot was taken within the first 60 seconds of shooting! 7 AM and in looooooove : )Elena you are simply lovely :) This one makes me smile. Again, this is the very first frame I shot after they laid down. I love how she looks at him. I got so excited when I saw that the morning light was in a perfect spot in the “secret garden.”

Next, we headed over to their favorite coffee shop, The Foundry. I was in love. It is the coolest place and they were so nice to allow us to shoot there.

Elena says that their drink choices sum up their personalities. Alex on the left and Elena on the right :)

Elena and Alex love to play a card game called Bonanza. In the game, you grow crops, trade them with other players, and earn gold coins according to the amount/type of crops you have. I think this is my favorite from the session. Elena, this is the perfect image for your kitchen. If you don’t already adore Elena and Alex as much as I do, you will after this next series. All I had to say was, “Funny faces. Ready – go!” You two are the most joyful couple. We should recreate these shots on your wedding day – are you game?! Thank you Elena and Alex for making my morning so fun. We cannot wait for the wedding. Congratulations! We are so blessed to be your photographers.

Happy Monday everyone!! A while ago, one of our friends called Kaylinn to tell her that there was a sunflower field blooming near her house. We just could not pass that up, so a few days later, Kaylinn, Chris and I headed out for a mini photo shoot. Our first stop was a corn field and we brought along the bench from Chris and my bedroom. Here are our favorites.

Reagan and Sada’s Engagement Session

Say hello to Sada and Reagan. I truly had a great morning hanging out with them. We met at Trinity university (where they both went to school) at 7 am! Yep, the early morning light is where it is at, especially in the crazy hot Texas summers. Sada is an avid reader of our blog and has a blog of her own! You can check it out here. I know we say it all the time, but really, we have THE best clients! Reagan and Sada got our portrait package #3, so there are TONS of images :) Here are my favorites from their session.

Sada has a Dr. Pepper addiction, so we had to incorporate it into their session. Yay Sada for hunting down the vintage bottle : )I really love this one. If you are wondering about the football. Reagan was on the team at Trinity and they both play flag football now.After Trinity, we headed down to the King William District. Reagan’s uncle owns The King William Manor Bed and Breakfast, so we hung out there for a while.Sada, you are just too cute!

Amazing what can be done with the decorations from my dresser. BTW. I’m in LOVE with Sada’s outfit. How awesome is that skirt?
Considering the Dr. Pepper addiction, we could not drive by this and not stop.Reagan and Sada and getting married in New Mexico…So we won’t be shooting their wedding :( Congratulations you two! Good luck with the wedding planning!!
