Yep, pretty sure this is my favorite engagement session – ever. Ryan and Jennifer are such a sweet, genuine and just plain cool couple. They both teach at the Southwest School of Art in downtown San Antonio and that is where their wedding will be. We are so excited to be a part of their big day. If their wedding day is anything like the engagement session, we are all in for a treat :) We started off the session at an antique store that they frequent. I love that we spent time in a place that they love. Here are my ridiculous number of favorites from their engagement session.

kate & rick’s engagement guest book!

You may remember Kate & Rick’s country engagement session last year… well, now that they have officially tied the knot we can share photos of their engagement guest book! Our guest books are modern and fun – forget those old-school books with the feather pens! :-) Kate and Rick chose their favorite engagement images and we designed a custom guestbook with plenty of space for their guests to write messages. Every detail of our guest books can be customized. Since red was one of Kate’s wedding colors, so she chose the rich red “Candyland” cover to match (to see all 25 cover options, click here)
We custom-design each guest book (with the couple’s input). In this layout, we took one of Kate & Rick’s favorite images and spread it across 2 pages. Our guest books feature hinge-paper styling (they lay flat when opened), so we are able to create a panoramic effect with one large photo. LOVE this!

Fun fact: we took about 19,450 engagement photos last year. This number doesn’t include our maternity sessions, family sessions, weddings, personal photos, etc… nope… That’s engagement sessions alone. Narrowing down to our favorite photos is never easy, but choosing from nineteen thousand four hundred fifty images was insanely hard (I spelled it out because it looks even bigger that way. HA!) Here they are… from 19,450 down to 50. Our favorite engagement images of 2011. :-)

I met up with Kyle and Laura at Kyle’s parents house in the Hill Country. It was such a treat for me to shoot somewhere new and so personal to them. The light was beautiful and I LOVED Laura’s bright red dress. You can’t go wrong with a red dress :) Here are my many favorites from their session. Enjoy!
